Bread Stuffing 5 Recipe

Ingredients
  • 12 cups bread crumbs
  • 1 cup butter
  • 3/4 cup finely chopped onions
  • 1 1/2 cups chopped celery
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Sage
  • 1 teaspoon Thyme
Directions
In a large heavy skillet melt butter, add onions and celery cook until yellow, stirring occasionally, add some bread crumbs stirring to prevent excessive browning. Turn into a deep bowl, lightly mix in rest of ingredients. For a moist stuffing add enough hot water to moisten crumbs. Cool and stuff turkey. Enough for a 12 lb. turkey.
