In a large heavy skillet melt butter, add onions and celery cook until yellow, stirring occasionally.

Add some bread crumbs stirring to prevent excessive browning.

Turn into a deep bowl, lightly mix in rest of ingredients.

For a moist stuffing add enough hot water to moisten crumbs.

Cool and stuff turkey. Enough for a 12 lb. turkey.

-12 cups bread crumbs
-1 cup butter
-3/4 cup onions, finely chopped
-1 1/2 cups celery, chopped
-1 tablespoon salt
-1 teaspoon pepper
-1 teaspoon Sage
-1 teaspoon Thyme
