Got Leftovers? Grill 'em Up Fast or a Great Left-Over Pizza
I love left-overs especially for lunch and breakfast. When this beautiful piece of left-over steak was in our fridge, I looked up and saw a package of gourmet pizza crusts and it was a no brainer. In the time it takes to get the grill hot, you can have a beautiful leftover pizza pie ready to grill. Whats in your fridge?
The next time you're hungry for a pizza, try this creative grilled version featuring shrimp, green onions, chili sauce, and cheese. The unique flavor of grilling makes this pizza recipe irresistible.
You will be the breakfast hero when you serve up this delicious feast. If you are feeding more than 5 people- consider making two pizzas. Highly doubtful you'll have leftovers! This is not a recipe I would try without GrillGrates. Maintaining a low grill temp is a must. Blackened crust on the bottom must be avoided to give you a full 20 minutes to grill this magnificent creation:
Wow your guests with a fruitful grilled dessert pizza after your next grilled meal. Enjoy an after dinner wine or cocktail while you make this pizza in front of your guests- they'll think you are Alton Brown explaining how the sugars caramelize the crust. The pizza crust is transformed as the juices from the fruits absorb and caramelize into the crust. The crust will actually become sweet like a tart or cookie- it flat out amazed us- it does not taste like pizza crust any more! Recipe developed by Jeff Raymond- A Big Green Egg Salesman in Indiana- and a hell of a cook too- Thanks Jeff! June 28th, 2010: Jeff just called to updated his grate creation with a PIRATE's twist!
Healthier than the usual pizza recipes that are loaded with meat and cheese, this colorful vegetable pizza can be eaten guilt free, and it’s delicious to boot!
Straight from the MacDaddy BBQ Event on the Planet- The KC Royal National Championships! I want to say thank you to my new friends at The Kansas City Barbecue Society the official sanctioning body for competitive barbecue cook-offs and a lot more. I had the good fortune to get to know them as I grilled pizzas using some of the best championship pulled pork and sauces!
