Sour Dough Bread 2 Recipe

Ingredients
  • STARTER FEEDER
  • 1 cup flour
  • 3 tablespoons instant potatoes
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 cup hot water
  • Bread
  • 1 cup starter
  • 2 1/4 cups water
  • 5 cups flour
  • 4 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 3 tablespoons oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
Directions
STARTER FEEDER:

Combine flour, potatoes, sugar, and water. Mix well. Let stand overnight. Then, refrigerate. Feed after removing 1 cup to make bread.

BREAD:

Combine starter, water, and flour. Mix well. Let sour 8 hours. Add sugar, salt, oil, and baking soda to starter mixture. Mix well. (Additional flour may be needed to make a stiff dough.) Divide into loaves and let rise. Bake at 375° for 45 minutes.
