CUSTARD ICE CREAM Recipe

Ingredients
  • 4 cups milk
  • 6 eggs
  • 1 1/4 cups sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups whipping cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla flavoring
Directions
Scald milk on MEDIUM HIGH heat. Beat eggs until yolks and whites are blended. Add sugar and salt. Mix well. Slowly add milk, while stirring constantly. Cook over hot water on HIGH heat, stirring slowly, until mixture coats the spoon. Remove from heat; cool and add whipping cream and vanilla flavoring. Freeze according to freezer instructions.
