Egg Rolls 14 Recipe

  • 1 pound pork sausage
  • 2 teaspoons sugar
  • 1 cup cabbage, shredded (I use a food processor)
  • 1 cup carrots, shredded
  • 1/2 cup green pepper, diced or shredded
  • 1/2 cup celery, shredded
  • 1/4 cup onion, diced or shredded
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 egg yolk; save the whites for wrapping
  • 1/2 teaspoon soy sauce
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic
  • egg roll wrappers
Brown pork sausage, then drain. Place vegetables in fry pan, add sugar, salt, yolk, soy sauce and garlic and cook for 10 min. Return meat to pan, mix together and cook another 5 min. Let mixture stand for about 10 min. Place 1 to 2 T. of mixture in egg roll wrapper and fold, sealing with egg white. Fry egg rolls in oil until brown. Serve over white or brown rice. More soy sauce can be used on top.
