Tea Cakes 22 Recipe

Ingredients
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1 pound butter
  • 1 teaspoon cream of tartar
  • 6 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon soda
  • 1/2 salt
  • 3 teaspoons vanilla
  • 1/4 teaspoon almond extract
Directions
Cream sugar and butter. Add eggs and flavorings. Mix well. Separately mix together dry ingredients and gradually add. Scoop out dough (about 1/4 at a time) and roll to flatten. Cut with cookie cutter that has been dipped into melted butter and then in sugar before each cut. (I use my biscuit cutter)

Bake on ungreased cookie sheet at 350 degrees for 10-12 minutes or until slightly browned.

Enjoy! (Best right out of the oven.)
