BIRTHDAY CAKE AND ICING Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 yellow or white cake mix with ingredients listed on box
  • 1 bar Crisco
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 2 boxes confectioners sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon almond extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon clear butter extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon clear vanilla extract
Directions
Cake: Mix cake ingredients per box. Then bake cake according to directions on the box. May also add the 3 extracts to cake batter.

Icing: Mix Crisco with mixer to soften. Add water and 1 lb. confectioners sugar. Mix several minutes. Add the 3 extracts, then the other box of confectioners sugar. Mix well.

May also add food coloring of your choice.
