PINEAPPLE PRESERVE CAKE Recipe

Ingredients
  • 2 sticks oleo
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon cloves
  • 1 teaspoon soda
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 cup pineapple preserves
  • 1 cup nuts
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 cream cheese (small)
Directions
Cream butter; add sugar and cream cheese. Cream egg yolks in with sugar and cream cheese. Sift sugar and spices together; dissolve soda in buttermilk.Then add flour, sugar and milk. Add vanilla, pecans and preserves. Beat egg whites and fold in. Bake for 1 1/2 hours at 300F until brown. Cool and wrap in foil.
