Peanut Butter Mounds Recipe

  • 1 1/4 cups sifted regular flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup butter or margarine
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter
  • 1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup white sugar
  • 1 egg
  • Cornflake Topping
  • 1/4 cup softened butter
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 3 cups cornflakes
  • 1/2 cup Chopped Peanuts
  • 3 tablespoons chopped maraschino cherries
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
Mix flour, soda and salt. Set aside. Mix butter and peanut butter. Add brown sugar, white sugar, then add egg and then dry ingredients. Roll into balls the size of walnuts and flatten with fork. Top each cookie with 2 tablespoons of cornflake topping. For topping mix all ingredients together. Bake cookies at 375°
