"I used onion soup mix, no extra onion, thickened with potato flakes and it was great."

"Don't know what the other reviewer was talking about... I changed up some of the serving sizes to make more sense (my potatoes weren't covered with 1 cup of water) and to make it more proportional. Didn't have sour cream so didn't use it. Added bacon. Came out pretty good if you're a fan of this kind of food. Very hearty. Definitely a do-over again, was easy enough to make. I may add flour or corn meal to thicken up the soup itself even further. Can't imagine how a simple potatoes, broccoli and cheese soup can be disgusting unless you don't like any of those."

"The soup is very plain and would not serve it to anyone. Followed the recipe exactly and it was disgusting."
