Refrigerator Cucumbers in Vinegar Pickles Recipe

Ingredients
  • 8 cups cucumbers, peeled and thinly sliced
  • 1 large sweet onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1 cup white vinegar
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons salt
  • 1 teaspoon celery seed

  • Place prepared cucumbers and onions in a 2 quart container. Sprinkle with salt.
  • In a small bowl, combine sugar, vinegar, and celery seed. Whisk together and pour over cucumber mixture.
  • Cover and refrigerate 12 hours before serving.
