"I discovered a similar version of this at Coco's 40 years ago. Their oil and vinegar dressing with anchovy was a nice touch. I love the salad bar idea! I substitute avocado for the bacon and hard boiled egg. Try the anchovy vinegrette!"

"Made this salad for supper last night since we needed something halfway healthy the way we had been eating over the weekend! My kids loved it. Be careful, because it gets really big as you add the vegetables...mine was huge! I realized it before I dressed it and put half in a container for lunch today."

"I make up this salad often for myself when it is just me here to eat. I like it because it is easy to throw together and I can add or substitute vegetables as to what I have on hand."

"I had my parents over for lunch yesterday and had all the fixings for this set up like a salad bar. So, each person could create their own masterpiece. I even made homemade croutons to top it off with. It was the perfect lunch!"

"We fix this salad a lot during the summer. It is quick to fix and is just enough for us at night. We use whatever meat and cheese we have on hand."

"Fixed this for a light supper last night but I had some leftover grill chicken and I diced that up to use instead of the turkey. Great salad!"

"Just what I was looking for on a hot and humid night where there will be no cooking. I always have hard-boiled eggs on hand and everything else was in the fridge. My husband likes Western dressing, the kids like Ranch and I used Balsamic Vinaigrette."

"Great salad for someone who is watching their weight. It has a nice combination of fast carbs, slow carbs, and protein. Just what your body needs. I am going to keep this one in with my other favorite diet recipes to use when I need to drop a few pounds."
