Syrup Waffle

A type of cookie that is made with very thin embossed wafers, formed into a waffle pattern that are spread with a sweet syrup and sandwiched together. Sweet in flavor and brittle in texture, this cookie is often served as a dessert cookie or a snack to accompany tea and coffee. It is a common cookie served in the Netherlands.
