Asparagus with Parmesan Cheese Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 pound thin asparagus spears
  • 1 tablespoon Extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 ounce shaved Parmesan cheese
  • freshly ground black pepper to taste
  • 1/2 cup balsamic vinegar, or to taste
Directions
Preheat oven to 450°. Place asparagus on baking sheet. Drizzle with olive oil. Toss to coat. Arrange asparagus in a single layer. Spread Parmesan over spears and season with pepper (and salt). Bake 12 - 15 minutes until cheese is melted and asparagus is tender but crisp - al dente. Serve immediately on warm plates, sprinkle with balsamic vinegar to taste.
