Ingredients
  • 3 VERY ripe bananas
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup high quality chocolate chips

  • Mash the bananas in a small bowl and set aside
  • Mix flour, baking soda, and salt in a large bowl and set aside.
  • Cream butter and sugar together, then add egg.
  • Add banana to the butter-sugar-egg mixture and fold in.
  • Make a well in the center of the flour mixture, add banana mixture, and stir only until combined.
  • Add chips to the batter and fold in gently.
  • Using cooking spray or butter, coat a loaf pan.
  • Add batter to loaf pan and bake in 350 degree oven for 1 hour.
  • Cool in pan for 10 minutes and then turn out onto rack to cool completely.
Moist, chocolate-y banana bread.
