Sweet & Sour Pork Recipe

  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/3 cup vinegar
  • 2/3 cup water
  • 3 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 2 pounds pork, cubed
  • 1/4 cup onion, sliced
  • 1 cup pineapple tidbits, drained
Combine all ingredients and cook over low heat until thick. Cook cubed pork in oil in frying pan until brown. Sauté onion; add pineapple. Add 2 Tbsp. soy sauce to browned meat, pineapple and onion. Combine meat with sweet and sour sauce and serve over rice.

(Can substitute pineapple juice for water in sauce recipe.)
