Cuban Olive Spread Recipe

This island recipe traditionally includes deviled ham but because it is being served as a spread with freshly sliced ham, the pure olive and pickle flavors mesh well with the ham. Cuban Americans also use the spread as a stuffing for home-made empanadas.

Ingredients
  • 1 ounce cream cheese, soften
  • 1 ounce jar of pimento-stuffed green olives, drained
  • 1/4 bread and butter pickles
Directions
In a food processor, pulse ingredients several times until they are well combined. Remove from food processor and place in bowl. Refrigerate the spread if you will not be serving it immediately, but serve at room temperature for easy spreading.
