Honey Gingerbread with Cinnamon Cream Recipe

Ingredients
  • For Honey Gingerbread
  • 1/3 cup soft or melted butter
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1 cup buttermilk or orange juice
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 2 teaspoons powdered ginger
  • 1/2 cup molasses
  • 1 egg
  • 2 1/2 cups Flour
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • For Cinnamon Cream
  • 1 cup Whipping Cream
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons honey
Directions
Preheat oven to 350° F. Combine butter, molasses, and honey. Beat in egg and add buttermilk or orange juice. Sift dry ingredients together. Mix wet and dry ingredients. Turn into a greased 9" by 9" square pan. Bake for 40 min. Serve with cinnamon cream. To make cinnamon cream, whip cream, cinnamon, and honey at high speed until stiff, being sure to add honey in a fine stream. Delicious!
