Best Sugar Cookies 4 Recipe

Ingredients
  • 2 teaspoons cream of tartar
  • 3 cups flour
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup lard
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon soda
  • 1 teaspoon water
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • FROSTING:
  • 3 tablespoons sour cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/4 cup butter, softened
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
Directions
In a large bowl mix the cream of tartar, flour, butter, lard and salt; set aside.

In smaller bowl mix the eggs, sugar, soda, water and vanilla. Add that to the first mixture.

Roll and cut. Sprinkle with sugar and bake at 350 for 6 minutes or as edges start to turn light brown. Take off pan while still warm.

For SOUR CREAM FROSTING, mix sour cream, vanilla and butter until smooth. Add powdered sugar gradually to mixture.
