Crock Pot Dressing Recipe

  • 12 cups herb-seasoned stuffing mix
  • 1 cup butter or margarine (melted)
  • 1/2 cup onion (finely chopped)
  • 1 cup celery (finely diced)
  • 2 cans chicken broth (14 oz. cans)
Container: 6-quart slow cooker

  • Pour the stuffing mix into the crock pot.
  • In a large skillet, melt the butter; then add the onions and celery and sauté until tender.
  • Add the chicken broth; then pour the contents of the skillet over the stuffing mix and stir well.
  • Cook on the high heat setting for 1 hour; then reduce the heat to low and cook 5 hours.

    Note: For moister dressing, add more broth. This dressing can be left on low heat for a period longer than 5 hours.
