Chocolate Delights Recipe

  • 3/4 cup margarine
  • 1 package semi-sweet chocolate chips (12 ounce bag)
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons Vanilla Flavoring
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon cream of tartar
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1/2 package peanut-butter chips (optional)
In large pot, melt margarine and chocolate chips. Stir until smooth. Add both sugars and stir over heat for one minute. Remove from heat and let it cool slightly (about 3-5 minutes). Add eggs one at a time, blending well after each, then add vanilla. Stir in dry ingredients and peanut-butter chips. Refrigerate at least 4 hours. Preheat oven to 350°. Roll batter into 1 inch balls and roll in sugar. Place on greased cookie sheet (grease it well, these cookies tend to stick) and bake for 12-14 minutes. Careful not to over bake. Do not let these cool completely on cookie sheet, they won't come off easy if you do. Remove them from cookie sheet while they are still warm but not hot.
