Swedish Flat Bread Recipe

Ingredients
  • 2 packages yeast
  • 3/4 cup + 1 T. warm water
  • 1 1/4 cups scalded milk
  • 1/4 cup corn syrup
  • 5 1/2 cups flour
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 3 tablespoons butter, melted
Directions
In large bowl dissolve yeast in warm water. Add milk and corn syrup; mix. Add flour and salt; mix. Add butter and knead. Cover and let rise until double. Punch down and shape into round loaf. Place on greased cookie sheet, cover and let rise again until double. Bake at 375° for 20 minutes.
