Plunket Cake or Monkey Bread Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 1/2 cups brown sugar, packed
  • 1 1/2 sticks margarine
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/2 cup pecans, chopped
  • 3 cans buttermilk canned biscuits
Directions
Preheat oven to 300. Combine in a saucepan cooking over low to medium heat, brown sugar, margarine, cinnamon and nutmeg. Let it come to a low boil, stirring occasionally. Cut biscuits into quarter pieces, one can at a time. In either a lightly greased tube or bundt pan, place the first can of quartered biscuits around the bottom of the pan. Pour 1/3 of the cooked sugar mixture over the biscuits. Sprinkle some chopped nuts.
