Yeast Bread Recipe

Ingredients
  • 2 packages dry yeast (mix according to package directions)
  • 1/2 cup warm water (110-115 degrees)
  • 3 1/2 cups warm milk or water
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 2 tablespoons salt
  • 1/4 cup shortening or oil
  • 12 cups flour
Directions
Mix together and let rise for 1 1/2 to 2 hours then punch down. Let rise again for 30 minutes. Divide into loaves or buns. Let rise 50 to 60 minutes. Bake at 425° for 25 to 30 minutes.
