Lemon Thyme Cookies Recipe

Ingredients
  • 2 1/2 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon cream of tartar
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 3 tablespoons fresh lemon thyme, finely chopped or .75 oz. dried lemon thyme

Directions
  • Sift together flour and cream of tartar.
  • Cream the butter with the sugar.
  • Add the eggs and mix well.
  • Blend in the flour until well incorporated.
  • Stir in lemon thyme.
  • Chill for at least 2 hours.
  • Roll into balls the size of small walnuts.
  • Bake on greased cookie sheets or a silpat.
  • Bake 10-12 minutes at 350°.
  • Edges may brown slightly.
