EASY STOVETOP CASSEROLE Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 1/2 pounds ground beef
  • 1 onion, chopped (large)
  • 1 green pepper, chopped (medium)
  • 2 stalks celery, chopped
  • 1 quart tomato juice
  • 1 1/2 cups ketchup
  • 1 1/4 cups uncooked macaroni
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder, or to taste
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • salt and pepper to taste
Directions
Use a heavy kettle or dutch oven. Brown beef on med. heat. Add onion, green pepper and celery. Continue to cook until vegetables are crisp, tender. Drain any juices off. Add remaining ingredients. Cover and simmer about 2 hours or until macaroni is tender and the liquid is absorbed. 8 servings.
