Tomato Garlic Basil Bruschetta Recipe

Garden fresh tomatoes and fresh picked basil are the perfect choice for this appetizer. For a slightly different flavor, try cilantro instead of the basil.

Ingredients
  • 3 tomatoes, finely diced
  • 1 tablespoon basil, finely chopped
  • 2 teaspoons garlic, minced
  • 2 teaspoons olive oil
  • 1 loaf French bread, sliced

Toss tomatoes, basil and garlic in a medium bowl. Cover and rest 1 hour.

When you are ready to serve, preheat oven to 450°. Toast bread on one side; turn and brush with olive oil and toast the other side.

Put tomato mixture on top of each bread slice.
