"I make a variation that is healthier. I simply drain a can of pineapple chunks, another can of mandarin oranges, and toss fruit together. Add one sliced banana and mix gently. Sprinkle w/ cinnamon and add dried sweetened coconut; also chopped pecans or walnuts if desired' some folks like minature marshmallows for more sweetness. Those who prefer a dressing may want to mix in Cool Whip but a fruit flavored yogurt adds that texture & you can change up the flavors.
I happen to prefer the fruit on its own - makes a great dish for brunches, potlucks at the office, or a simple dessert in the evening at home. Plus no cooking required. Perfect for those where cooking space is at a premium -can even mix this up in a dorm room!"
