German Potato Salad 21 Recipe

Ingredients
  • 6 potatoes, cooked, cooled and sliced (medium)
  • 6 bacon slices, fried crisp
  • 3/4 cup onion sautéed inch bacon grease until tender
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons celery seed
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 3/4 cup water
  • 1/3 cup vinegar
Directions
Prepare potatoes, bacon and onions as stated above.Blend together: flour, sugar, celery seed and salt. Stir into onion mixture and cook over low heat until smooth and bubbly. Remove from heat and stir in water and vinegar. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly, and cook about 2 minutes. Add potatoes and crumbled bacon.
