Pickled Wieners Recipe

  • 2 1/2 pounds wieners
  • 6 hard boiled eggs, peeled
  • 2 onions, sliced thin
  • 1/2 jar peppers with juice
  • 1 1/2 cups vinegar
  • 2 cups water
  • 1/2 box mustard seed
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • paprika
  • 1 pinch black pepper
Layer wieners, eggs, and onions in a 1 gallon jar. Put peppers in at random until jar is full.

In a large sauce pan put remaining ingredients. Heat over low heat until warm to the touch.

Pour over, room temperature, wieners until jar is full.

Let stand for at lease one week in cool place. The longer they stand the better and hotter they will be.
