Sweet and Spicy Ribs Recipe

"These didn't get as tender as I usually like but they had great flavor. I ended up baking them after taking them off the grill for 1 hour covered and this seemed to do the trick...."

Ingredients
  • 3 cups pineapple juice
  • 1 1/2 cups brown sugar
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons ground mustard
  • 1/3 cup ketchup
  • 1/3 cup red wine vinegar
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 teaspoons ginger, minced
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 pound baby back ribs
  • 1 bottle barbecue sauce

Combine first 10 ingredients. Pour mixture over ribs, cover and refrigerate overnight, turning occasionally.

Preheat oven to 275 degrees.

Cook ribs and marinade for 1 1/2 hours, turning halfway.

Preheat grill to medium heat. Grill ribs 20-30 minutes, brushing with barbecue sauce and turning frequently.

The meat falls off the bones and has that perfect sweet and spicy combination.
