Lentil Patties (Vegetarian) Recipe

  • 1 cup Grape Nuts
  • 1 cup cooked lentils, drained
  • 1 cup chopped pecans, walnuts or almonds
  • 1 cup onions, finely chopped
  • 2 eggs, slightly beaten
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon sage or poultry seasoning
  • 2 tablespoons oil (plus enough to fry inch)
  • 1/4 cup milk
Mix together, Let mixture stand a few minutes, then form into small patties. If mixture seems too stiff, add a little more milk. Brown in oil at 350°, turning only once. Garnish with spiced red crab apples and parsley sprigs. Makes 6
