Italian Sausage Soup 2 Recipe

Ingredients
  • 12 ounces Italian sausage* (browned and drained)
  • 2 cans artichoke hearts (drained) (14 ounce cans)
  • 3 cans Italian tomatoes (14 ounce cans)
  • 1 package dry onion soup mix
  • 4 1/2 cups water
  • 1 each Italian seasoning, oregano, and basil (1/2 teaspoon each)
Directions
*I like to use hot Italian sausage or a combination of hot and sweet Italian sausage.

Variations: Sometimes I add a can of sliced black olives.

If you like pasta in your soup, you can add 1 cup of cooked rotini.

Note: Do not add uncooked pasta to the soup. It will soak up too much of the broth!
