EASY HOMEMADE CHILI 2 Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 pound Lean Ground Beef
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cans stewed tomatoes (14.5 ounce cans)
  • 1 can tomato sauce (15 ounce can)
  • 1 can red kidney beans (15 ounce can)
  • 1 1/2 cups water
  • 1 pinch chili powder
  • 1 pinch garlic powder
  • salt and pepper to taste
Directions
In a large saucepan over medium heat, combine the beef and onion; sauté until meat is browned and onion is tender. Drain any fat. Add the stewed tomatoes with juice, tomato sauce, kidney beans and water. Season with the chili powder, garlic powder, salt and ground black pepper. Bring to a boil, reduce heat to low, cover and let simmer for 15 minutes.

Can substitute ground turkey for the ground beef; can also add carrots, spinach, celery, small noodles, parsley or kale and a little Italian seasoning.
