Layered Boston Cream Pie Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 box Super Moist yellow cake mix
  • 1 1/4 cups water
  • 1/3 cup vegetable oil
  • 3 Eggs
  • Vanilla Filling
  • 1 package instant vanilla pudding and pie mix (small pkg)
  • 2 cups heavy whipping cream
  • Chocolate Glaze
  • 1/2 cup chocolate ready to spread frosting
Directions
Heat oven to 350°. Grease bottoms of two 8 or 9" round pans. Make cake and pour into pans. Bake 30 minutes or until done. Cool cake completely. Split each cake layer horizontally to make two layers. Beat pudding mix into whipping cream with wire whisk about 2 minutes. Let stand until set. Fill each cake layer with 2/3 cup of filling. Put frosting in microwave, uncovered, about 15 seconds or until thin enough to drizzle over cake. Spread Chocolate Glaze over top, cover and store in refrigerator.
