Waffles Recipe

Crispy, warm and ready-to-go! Waffles can be frozen and popped into the toaster for a quick weekday breakfast.

Ingredients
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 4 teaspoons baking powder
  • 2 teaspoons sugar
  • 1 1/4 cups milk , Nonfat or 1%
  • 2 Large Eggland's Best eggs
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil

  • Beat eggs, add milk.
  • Sift flour, salt, baking powder and sugar into egg mixture. Mix gently but do not over mix. Batter will be slightly lumpy.
  • Add oil and mix again.
  • Pour 1/4 cup of batter onto hot waffle iron and cook to a light golden brown. Repeat with remaining batter.


Notes and Suggestions For variation add either blueberries or chocolate chips to the batter before cooking or top with bananas, strawberries, peaches or any fruit of your choice. Drizzle with pure maple syrup or top with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and chocolate syrup for a sweet treat!
