Old Fashioned Tea Cakes 5 Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 1/2 cup real butter - softened
  • 2 eggs - beaten
  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 tablespoon milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
Directions
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Cream sugar and butter until light and fluffy in a large mixing bowl; add eggs, mixing well. Combine dry ingredients; add to creamed mixture, mixing well. Add vanilla and milk if dough is too dry. Chill dough 1 hour. Roll dough out to 1/8-inch thickness on a floured surface; cut with cookie cutter, place dough on ungreased cookie sheets; bake for 13 - 15 minutes or until lightly browned. Yield 3 - 4 dozen cookies.
