Southern Pralines 2 Recipe

  • 2 1/2 sugar
  • 7 sweetened condensed milk
  • 1/2 Milk
  • 2 1/2 pecans
  • 1/2 Salt
  • 1/4 margarine, melted
  • 1/2 Vanilla Extract
  • waxed paper
Melt sugar and milks in a large saucepan, stirring until melted

add pecans. Let mixture come to a boil. Boil for 20 minutes, stirring pretty much constantly (good job for a bored child:)

Add salt, butter, and extract. Remove from heat and stir a few more strokes. Spoon (about a tablespoon) onto waxed paper and let cool. Makes about 3 1/2 dozen.

Recipe can be doubled if you're ever in need of 6+ dozen pralines!
