Chili or Chile Sauce
A sauce or condiment that can be made from any one of many different chili peppers, depending on the desired intensity and flavor. This sauce may be blended with vinegar, herbs, garlic, and other seasonings to produce a somewhat sweet and spicy flavored chili sauce that can be red, green, yellow, or brown in color.
A type of hot sandwich consisting of thin slices of tender roast beef layered on a French baguette and served with the flavorful beef sauce known as au jus (pronounced oh zhoo'), which is French for “with juice” (au jus typically accompanies prime rib).
A Mexican sandwich, which became popular after WWII. The Torta sandwich most often contains meat garnished with mashed avocado, a sandwich spread made of black beans or refried beans, pickled jalapenos, lettuce, tomato, and an onion.
A type of appetizer that consists of melted cheese often combined with other ingredients and served with crackers, potato chips, corn chips, pretzels, fruit, vegetables or other similar foods that are dipped into the cheese.
