Grandma's Secret Sauce for Shortcake Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 stick butter, melted
  • 3 tablespoons flour
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/4 cup Crisco oil
Directions
1.) Combine flour and sugar, mix into melted butter, add milk

2.) Bring to a full boil stirring constantly w/ wire whisk, remove from heat and add vanilla, continue stirring, slowly add Crisco oil and continuing to stir constantly

Better than delicious! Excellent over strawberry shortcake, pound cake, etc.
