Baked French Doughnuts Recipe

Ingredients
  • 5 tablespoons margarine
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 2 1/4 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/2 cup Milk
  • 6 tablespoons margarine melted
  • sugar/cinnamon mixture
Directions
Cream margarine and sugar; add egg and mix well. Add dry ingredients alternately with milk. Fill greased muffin tins 1/2 full. Bake in a 350 oven for 20-25 minutes. Take out of pan immediately. Roll in melted butter then in cinnamon/sugar mixture. Makes about 14 doughnuts in regular sized muffin tins.
