Grilled Fruit Banana Split Recipe

A delicious alternative to the All-American banana split.
Directions
  • Preheat grill to medium.
  • Soak bamboo skewers (if using) for 30 minutes in water.
  • Skewer fruit alternatively, using 2 of each kind per skewer.
  • Brush fruit with honey butter mixture. After 2 minutes turn and brush fruit again.
  • Don't cook much more than 4 minutes as fruit will become to soft and fall off skewer.
  • Remove skewers from grill. Place 2 to 3 scoops vanilla ice cream in serving bowl. Take 2 skewer of fruit and place fruit around ice cream. Top with chocolate and caramel syrup. Sprinkle with nuts if desired. Top off with a maraschino cherry. Enjoy!

- 1 pint vanilla ice cream
- 4 bananas cut into 1 1/2" chunks
- 1 pint large strawberries, hulled, cut in half
- 1 can (28 oz.) pineapple chunks, drained
maraschino cherries and peanuts for garnish (optional)
Honey Butter:
- 3 tablespoons melted butter mixed with
- 2 teaspoons 2 butter
