Mango and Red Onion Salsa Recipe

The mild flavor of this mango salsa recipe makes it perfect to serve with a variety of dishes. When grilling salmon, serve it on the side; or cool down the spiciness of Mexican recipes with a generous helping.

  • 1 mango, peeled and chopped
  • 2 tablespoons red onion, diced fine
  • 2 tablespoons fresh cilantro, coarsely chopped
  • 1 lime--zest from 1 lime
  • 2 tablespoons juice from 1 lime
  • 1 tablespoon canola oil
  • kosher salt to taste
  • freshly ground black pepper to taste

  • In a bowl, combine chopped mango, red onion, lime zest, and cilantro.
  • In another, small bowl, whisk together lime juice and oil. Season to taste. Pour over the mango mixture. Add additional seasonings, if desired.
  • Cover and refrigerate until ready to serve.
