Ingredients
BROWNIES:
1/2 cup margarine or butter, softened
1 cup white sugar
2 large eggs
2 ounces unsweetened chocolate, pre-melted
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup chopped dry roasted peanuts (optional)
PEANUT BUTTER FROSTING:
2 1/2 cups powdered sugar
1/4 cup creamy peanut butter
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 tablespoons butter, softened
2 tablespoons boiling water, more if needed

BROWNIES:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Prepare baking pan with cooking spray.
In large mixing bowl, cream margarine/butter with sugar and beat in eggs. Blend in chocolate and vanilla. Stir in flour, salt and nuts. Spread in prepared pan.
Bake 20-25 minutes or until just barely set in middle. Do not overbake.
Cool on rack.
PEANUT BUTTER FROSTING:
Combine sugar, peanut butter, vanilla, and butter in a bowl. Slowly add boiling water (reserve 1/2 tablespoon) and beat until smooth. (If needed, add boiling water a few drops at a time until smooth. May need to adjust liquid and powdered sugar for desired consistency.) Spread onto cooled brownies.
