Ingredients
1 pound hamburger
1 pound bacon,chopped
1 onion, chopped
1 cup ketchup
1 cup smoky BBQ sauce
1/4 cup wine vinegar
1/2 cup red wine
1/4 cup brown sugar
4 tablespoons mustard
4 tablespoons molasses
1 teaspoon Salt
1 tablespoon Chili Powder
1 teaspoon pepper
1 can dark red kidney beans (16 ounce can)
1 can pork n; beans (16 ounce can)
1 can butter beans or garbanzo beans (16 ounce can)
1 can Lima beans (16 ounce can)
1 can black beans (16 ounce can)
Directions
Brown hamburger and bacon together. Drain fat. Add onions and cook until onions are translucent. Grease a 6 quart cast iron Dutch oven with lid. Combine meat mixture with all other ingredients, except the beans and mix well. Add all the cans of beans including the juice from the bean cans. Gently fold in all the beans and mix. Bake for 2 hours in a 350 oven OR 1 1/2 hours over charcoal fire on grate OR 6 hours in a crock pot. However you cook it, stir it gently and often and lower or remove heat source if it starts to burn. Just a little water or beer can be added if it gets, too thick.
