Clam Chowder 12 Recipe

Ingredients
  • 6 slices bacon
  • 1 onion (large)
  • 1 cup celery
  • 4 potatoes (medium)
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 can cream of celery soup
  • 1 can clams (rinsed and drained)
  • 1 can evaporated milk, add water to make 3 cups (12 ounce can)
  • 1 can mushrooms, drained
Directions
Fry bacon, drain, put aside. Sauté onion, celery and mushrooms in 3 T. bacon fat. Dice potatoes, add celery, onion ,mushrooms and salt; cover with water and cook until tender. Add soups, clams, milk and crumbled bacon. Heat in a crock pot until serving. The longer the better.
