Silky Fudge Sauce Recipe

  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 sweet Chocolate Bar, chopped or (Bakers German Sweet bar) (4 ounce )
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 1 can Evaporated Milk (5 ounce can)
  • 1 tablespoon light corn syrup
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Melt butter and chocolate in a heavy saucepan over medium-low heat. Stir in sugar, milk, corn syrup, and salt; cook over medium heat, stirring gently, 5 minutes or just until sugar dissolves and sauce is smooth. Remove from heat; stir in vanilla. Cool to room temperature. Pour into gift jars, or use for ice cream topping. Cover and chill. Keeps in refrigerator up to 1 month. Serve Warm. Yields 2 Cups.
