Breakfast Bread Pudding Recipe

  • 14 slices whole wheat bread
  • 1 cup egg whites
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 1 cup apple juice
  • raisins (optional)
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon sugar

  • Tear bread into chunks. Place in a buttered 9X13 pan.
  • Mix egg whites, sugar, cinnamon, and apple juice together; pour over bread.
  • Mix 1/2 tsp. cinnamon and 1 tablespoon sugar together; sprinkle over bread pudding.
  • Bake at 350 degrees F. for 20-25 minutes. Best served warm but can also be served cold.
  • Can serve this bread pudding on its own but it is delicious when served with vanilla custard, whipped topping, cream, or ice cream.

We all loved it. I like this bread pudding because it is basic and you can dress it up however you like."
