Calico Corn Recipe

Ingredients
  • 4 cups whole kernel corn
  • 1 cup chopped onion
  • 1/2 cup green pepper, diced
  • 2 cups white vinegar
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons celery seed
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons mustard seed
  • 1 tablespoon dry mustard
  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric
Directions
Combine all ingredients. Bring to a boil; simmer 20 minutes. Pour hot into hot jars, leaving 1/4" head space. Adjust caps. Process 15 minutes in boiling water bath. Yield: About 6 half pints.
